We are thrilled to introduce an exciting project developing within our Hub School that's as innovative as it is sustainable. Meet "Offcuts" - a Young Enterprise endeavor brought to life by our talented pupils.
Offcuts is not just another entrepreneurial venture; it's a commitment to creativity, sustainability, and skill-building. Our pupils have set their sights on repurposing surplus wood, typically discarded after construction projects, to craft surfboard and skateboard racks.
This initiative not only minimizes waste but also channels the discarded wood into functional, beautifully crafted products. We are reaching out to our school community for support in this admirable pursuit.
If you have any spare wood or furniture paint tucked away in your sheds or cupboards, your donations would be immensely valuable. Your surplus materials could be the very essence that breathes life into these unique racks.
Please reach out to Andy Egford to arrange collection if you can contribute.
In January, our pupils will unveil their initial collection of surfboard racks, showcasing their craftsmanship and dedication. These racks will not only be available for purchase but can also be tailored to your specific preferences through made-to-order options.
By supporting Offcuts, you're not just acquiring a beautifully crafted piece; you're fostering the growth of young talent and enabling them to acquire the skills crucial for their future careers. Your engagement and patronage will play a pivotal role in empowering these students to navigate the path towards their aspirations.
Interested in owning a piece of sustainable craftsmanship or supporting our budding entrepreneurs?
Your involvement will make a tangible difference and encourage our pupils to dream big, innovate sustainably, and build a brighter future
